Estacada & Portland

Oregon is so beautiful! We always go home wondering why we live in Missouri. Actually Missouri is beautiful too, but our humidity leaves something to be desired. Camille and Jerry live away from the city and raise Kiger horses. Kigers are mustangs that were recently running wild. Jerry says that they tame easily.

Tuesday, Alan and I drove to Portland and attended the temple there, getting some family work done. It's a beautiful (Haven't I used that word a lot lately?) temple. The grounds are amazing. One of the pictures I am attaching is of the temple as seen reflected in a reflection pool at the rear of the temple. I need to get busy and get some good photos of the St. Louis Temple. It's been here for 11 years and I still don't have very good ones. We had planned on going on to see Mt. St. Helens that same day, but it got too late so we just met Camille and Jerry for dinner. The time just goes too fast to get everything done. We flew back to St. Louis on the 18th. We only spent about 12 hours at airports or on the plane this time compared to the 15 it took us to get to Oregon. Flying can be very frustrating, but the pioneers would have loved doing it, huh?
