Sawyer is here!

I have been at Jeanette's for a week, but didn't have an internet connection until today.  Baby Sawyer arrived Wednesday, May 15 and weighed in at a surprising 9 lb. 3 oz.  He has lost some of that weight and is trying to eat enough to put it all back on.  He is quite the cute little guy.  Noah was very good as Alan & I watched him while his mama and daddy were at the hospital.  They all arrived home Friday night.  Noah doesn't think much of the crying, but he seems to have accepted Sawyer as a part of the family from the very beginning. Life is good.  Here are a few pictures.

We came to the hospital on day two.  Here I am showing him off.

Alan was happy to see Sawyer too.

A view through his isolette.

No blog entry is complete without a picture of something yummy.  Here is the Dairy Queen Extreme Chocolate ice cream cake.

Noah is happy with his new baby brother.  This was taken on day 4.

Sawyer is very strong.  He keeps wanting to hold his head up when you put him on your shoulder.  Here he is "standing alone" on Jeanette's lap.

Here we are

I'm going to post a picture that we had taken at a restaurant.  There was a lady coming around to the tables taking pictures for $10 apiece.  Instead we had another couple take a picture of us.  Then I cropped it and Voila, there we are.

I saw this pretty tree in a parking lot while Alan talked to the owner of a piano store.

A little closer shot...

Ah, yes, popcorn popping!

Our flowers are mostly doing all right.  I like this Gerbera dairy.
I bought a few pansies even though they don't like the hot, hot summer weather.  They do seem to like our cool Spring though.  Aren't they cute?
