I know that all of you are experiencing the same thing. -- winter weather! We got the good old "no school" call Monday night. So far there has been no school Tues. and Wed. I'll need to cancel Young Women too. I expect to be off tomorrow too. I'm hoping the freeways will be cleared by tomorrow, as it would allow a trip to the temple. Wish me luck there. Here is a picture of Alan clearing the snow off the cars so that the built-up sleet has a chance of melting off. Hope you all stay safe and warm.

Home after Christmas
Fairly late Christmas night we returned home. Here is a picture of our living room that Aaron took. His camera will take and line up three pictures so as to create a panorama. You can get some pretty cool shots.
Amy, Mike & Zach came down on the 26th of Dec. Karen & Michael came on the 28th; Jeanette & Jason came on the 29th. We went bowling, which was a lot of fun except that my back got bad afterwards. We got some good video of it. We stayed up late, playing games. That always happens when we all get together. Things can get pretty silly, especially if we play "Curses". Amy, Karen and Jeanette all made pajama pants while they were here. All in all it was a good time spent together.

It's been a while since I've written anything. We had a good Christmas. We drove to Amy's house on Christmas Eve and met all the family there. On the way up we were able to stop off in Fairview Heights and do some mission shoppping. We found shoes, pants and ties. Aaron's big shoes size and long pant length are hard to find where we live, so we were happy to get what we wanted.
Amy, Mike and Zach were gone during the evening on Christmas Eve so we exchanged gifts before they left and then the rest of us stayed at their house and partied without them. Oh, my. We ate so many snacks! Everybody brought something.
On Christmas Day we stayed at Amy's until around 10:00 and watched Zach open his gifts from Mom & Dad. Then we drove up to Laura's. Mike, Laura and family joined us there. This was rather impromptu, so we really appreciate Laura putting together a good lunch for us all.
We drove over to David (Alan's brother in St. Louis) and Wanda's for dinner. We always enjoy seeing them. Wanda cooked a really good meal and I discovered that I really do like sweet potatoes when they are baked whole in the oven. And all these years I thought I didn't like them!
