Karen & Andrew came to visit

I was supposed to go to a stake relief Society conference today, but we got a call from Karen last night; Michael needed some quick dental work done, so they came today. While poor Mike was sitting in the dental chair, we were having fun with our grandson. Unfortunately they have to go back home tonight.

Personal Progress Update

Ok, so I've been working on my personal progress. I'm hoping my successes will encourage my girls to put in some time on theirs. If not, I will still be happy with my own progress. The picture shows my project for the value of virtue. I reread the Book of Mormon and colored in one item for each chapter on the reading chart. It doesn't look like so many chapters, but they really do add up. If any of you want to try this, go to mormonmodern.com and type Book of Mormon reading chart in the search window on her website. A Day at the Temple

We made good use of my day off work on Good Friday. We drove up to David & Wanda's Thursday night and spent the night. Then Friday morning we all went to the temple; David & Wanda were sealed. It was a very nice ordinance; I guess they always are though. Here is a picture of them and also a couple more of the temple. The morning was cloudy and very windy; the afternoon stayed windy, but cleared off, leaving us with a beautiful sky for pictures. Then we drove home in the rain. It was fun seeing several people we knew at the temple.

Easter Treat

We had an Easter party in the third grade room Thursday. (We have another four-day weekend, so no school yesterday and Monday. YEA!!!) One of the moms made these cute little Easter baskets treats. There were a few left so I snagged a couple for the missionaries and took a picture of them before they got eaten.

Camo Cap

You have seen us go "Ozarkian" in some ways since we moved to Salem. We bought a pickup truck (it was really for the piano business though). We bought dulcimers. And now take a look at Alan's camo cap. This is actually for the piano business too, but I thought you might get a chuckle out of seeing it. So many of the men around here wear these things. This one has two lights on it for moving around in the semi dark when hunting. He finds that it can be focused right onto an interior part of a piano that he is working on without his having to hold the light. Can you see the light? Cute, huh?
