I just got back from Nauvoo. I went up Saturday morning with Sisters Parker and Clements. Tuesday is Sis. Parker's birthday and this was her choice for a good birthday. It turns out she was right; we had a great time although it went 'way too fast. We didn't see near as much as we wanted to (we had to return home Sunday afternoon) but the things we did do were very enjoyable. The first thing we did is to attend the Nauvoo Temple (our first priority). Then we went to a bed & breakfast for an official English high "tea". Actually it wasn't tea at all; it was referred to with a smile as herbal infusion. We got three courses and a lot of ambiance. After the tea party, we went into the parlor for a reenactment of John & Leonora Taylor. They were extremely good. That took the rest of our day. The next day we went to sacrament meeting and then headed for the LDS visitors' center. We watched the Joseph Smith movie and cried through that. Afterward we saw that the visitors' center had a traveling display of sculpture. We found that the artist was there; we looked at the sculptures and talked extensively with the artist, Angela Johnson. See her website: www.ajsculptures.com We didn't have much time left to visit the homes and shops, but did a few. It was about 12:30 A.M. before I got home. Luckily I'm off work today; it's a professional development day where the teachers attend but I don't need to. Yea!!

Hi there, family & friends!

Our only really big news was when Dustan received his own endowment at the St. Louis Temple and then went to the MTC on Aug. 26. Hope he's liking it there. The MTC certainly keeps those missionaries busy.

There really isn't much going on around here now except work. I'm back in school -- this year as a personal aide. It keeps me on my toes during the day. Now I'm back to the routine where I have to play catch-up in the evening for the things I don't get done during the day. Since I don't have a lot to tell you, I thought I would attach about three more pictures to add a little interest to the post. Hope you are all doing well.
