Lettuce from Mars

We were gone all of last week.  First we had the blessing of our first great grandchild, Ashlynn Rose Barnard.  After that we worked in the St. Louis Temple for most of the week.  Both of those things were a great blessing in our lives.  While we were gone, our area of the state got LOTS of rain.  There was quite a bit of flooding and our little window boxes got plenty of water.  Take a look at the lettuce plants we left behind.  Have you ever seen anything like that?  It looks like they are trying to grow all the way up to the sky.  The strawberry plants look good though.  They are just to the left of the weird lettuce.
